Baking Instructions

Place on a heat proof tray and bake in your oven for 15-30 mins at 130 °C. At higher temperatures, transparency will increase and the transferred image will be fixed. Do not exceed the recommended time and temperature!

If TLS (Translucent Liquid Sculpey) is applied in a thin layer, it becomes transparent during firing. Applied in a thin layer of TLS, can be re-fired after each applied layer.

Thinning

You can add oil paints, dry oxide pigments, mica pigment powder, concentrated ink, or concentrated watercolor solution.

It is recommended to mix in a container made of metal, glass, elastic plastic or in a container covered with a protective wax layer. The pigment is added gradually and in small quantities, since the toning is very fast.

With tinted TLS, you can paint on both thermally treated and thermally untreated polymer clay.

Mosaic: TLS can be used to attach mosaic pieces to the base.

Other possibilities

Glaze: Used as a glaze on metal, for mica powder or decoupage.

Adhesive: TLS is applied in a thin layer in order to glue several polymer clay parts or polymer clay elements to other surfaces: paper, wood, glass, metal.

Attention!

Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey tools Oven Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
